Dear Fellow ISTMA Member,

On behalf of the members of the Iowa Sports Turf Managers Association I thank you for renewing your membership for 2010.  Your choice to support ISTMA will help us continue to educate and advocate for Sports Turf Managers at every level of our profession. 

I trust you’re taking advantage of your membership!  By taking advantage of discounted registrations during the year long Workshop Series and the Iowa Turfgrass Conference and Trade Show you will more than pay for the ISTMA membership.  I trust you are also enjoying the Sideline Report newsletter, the subscription to SportsTurf magazine, the electronic ‘ISTMA Quicknotes’ and our website www.iowaturfgrass.org/istmahome.htm.  More importantly I hope you’ve accessed the membership roster and taken advantage of our number one member benefit; networking with fellow members.  Too often we feel isolated and overwhelmed with our jobs.  Having access to fellow professionals and exposure to ways others in the industry are thinking and achieving is priceless. 

Your support and energy is needed to help us become the association you want us to be.  Our chapter is strong because volunteer leaders have passionately worked to make it so.  ISTMA has many opportunities for you to become an active member and your volunteerism is the key to our chapter success.  Whether it is participating on a committee or authoring a newsletter article you’ll be lifting the Iowa sports turf industry to a higher level and giving back to an association that’s dedicated to your success.  As our roster grows larger we will work even harder to become the professional association you want to belong to and believe in.
