Specialist – United Seeds, Inc.
United Seeds, Inc. is seeking a
proven, highly-engaged sales professional to join our sales team.
As a Commercial Sales Specialist, you will: Meet or exceed sales
objectives within an assigned geographic territory through
prescribed sales techniques; develop customer relationships with
existing customers; cultivate new account opportunities. We
believe responsibilities identify profitable new opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Identify profitable new
opportunities from leads provided by the company, current
customers, trade publications, state associations,
internet/newspaper/journal articles, or cold-calling.
•
Address customer solutions and sell all applicable United Seeds’
products and services according to the defined sales
strategy/pricing tools.
• Prepare sales plans and forecasts.
Monitor and track sales plan to ensure sales quota is met or
exceeded.
• Prepare and deliver customer quotes and seed needs
when applicable and identify new solutions for customers. Provide
technical and sales assistance to customers.
• Serve as
interface between customers and company to ensure that customer
needs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
• Keep abreast
of products, market conditions and competitive activities.
•
Maintain current database while providing accurate sales
reporting, as required.
• Ensures that all sales actions
comply with all regulations and United Seeds’ corporate
policies/processes.
• Daily local travel is required. Limited
overnight travel may be required for customer visits, vendor
visits and training.
Requirements
• Proven ability to
prospect, negotiate, and close deals
• 3 to 5 years of
business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, preferably in the
environmental services markets or related fields
• Bachelor’s
Degree in Business or Turf Management or related field preferred,
or equivalent additional experience required
• Strong time
management and organizational skills to ensure focus on
value-added sales activities
• Strong customer-orientation;
prompt issue resolution/follow-through
• Strong communication
(written and oral) skills
• Strong computer skills (MS

• Physical requirements
include sitting, standing, walking, bending, light lifting
(typically less than 50 lbs.), and driving a vehicle

Horticulturist/Clubhouse
Grounds Manager –Elmcrest CC, Cedar Rapids, IA
Elmcrest Country Club
is a traditional, private, full-service, family-oriented, golf and
social club located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
This is a full time, year round position.
This position requires an individual who will be
responsible for taking care of all the flowers, trees, shrubs, and
clubhouse lawns, as well as helping out on the golf course as
needed. A typical week
is about a 50/50 split between Horticulturist duties and golf
course work. Working
some weekends will also be required.
Typical Duties:
·
Designs, plants, and manages flower beds throughout the golf
course as well as the clubhouse and tennis facilities.
·
Select proper growing zone plants, order yearly plantings, and
schedule deliveries of material in accordance to the set budget.
·
Manage, weed, fertilize, and water plants throughout the golf
course as needed.
·
Trimming, planting, and pruning of hedges, shrubs, and trees.
·
Mowing club lawns, walk mowing greens, fairway mowing, bunker
raking, etc. as needed on the golf course.
·
Responsible for keeping the club Audubon certified.
·
Assist in snow plow duty throughout the winter months.
Employment Standards:
·
Associates degree or extensive experience in the horticulture or a
closely related field
·
Knowledge of the characteristics, growth habit and proper
cultivation of a wide selection of flowering bulbs and annual,
biennial, and perennial plant materials (both herbaceous and woody
plants)
·
May
require current state certification as a pesticide applicator
·
Ability to operate skid steer and landscaping knowledge is a plus.
·
Experience in golf course maintenance and the game of golf also
helpful.
·
Must
have a valid driver’s license as well as be a team player.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.

Second Assistant Golf Course Superintendent - Echo Valley Country Club,

Educational Requirements:
Minimum 2 year degree in Turfgrass Management or
related field.
Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 years golf course experience required
