Iowa Golf Association Makes Major Donation to ISU Turfgrass Extension

The Iowa Golf Association Foundation donated $3,000 toward travel for Iowa State University Extension Turfgrass Specialist Dr. Adam Thoms' travel at the 14th annual Extension Fundraiser golf tournament, held at the Indianola Country Club on May 16th. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Iowa Golf Association Foundation has supported turfgrass managers across the state of Iowa by contributing $3,000 each year for Dr. Thoms' Extension education efforts.

Chad Pitts, Executive Director of the IGA, presents Dr. Adam Thoms a $3,000 check in support of his efforts.

The 2018 Extension Fundraiser golf tournament raised over $7,000 for Dr. Thoms. Since the event's inception in 2005, it has contributed nearly $60,000 to ISU Turfgrass Extension travel.
